Everyone must know about Persib, a great club in Bandung that usually wears dominant blue costume for home match. Do you know about history of this club? In 14 March 1933 Persib was founded with name BIVB (Bandoeng Indlandsche Voetball Bond). This club was an alliance from Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Bandung (PSIB) and National Voetball Bond (NVB). The team that ever joined by legendary players like Rukma Sudjana, Emen Suwarman, and Henky Timisela has many memorable achievements. One of the most memorable achievements in the history of this club is when they became champions of the last Perserikatan competition in the 1993-94 seasons. In the final match, the club with legendary players such as Sutiono Lamso and Robby Darwis won against PSM Makassar. Before that Persib became champions in 1937, 1961, 1986, and 1990. Persib became runner-up in 1933, 1934, 1936, 1950, 1959, 1966, 1983, and 1985.

In the first season of Indonesian League in 1994-95, this team became champions when they defeated Petrokimia Putra Gresik in the finals. Persib won Indonesian League without any foreign players. As Indonesian Champions, Persib represented Indonesia for Asian Champions League in 1995. In group stage Persib, although still amateur team, can defeated Bangkok Bank (Thailand) and Pasay City (Philippines). With that result, Persib reached quarterfinal. Besides that, Persib’s coach, Indra M. Thohir became the Asian best coach. A pride result for Bandung and Indonesia society.

After that Persib never get any prestigious awards. But now in Indonesian League XIII, Persib has come up. With some great player such as Eka Ramdani, Zaenal Arif, and Christian Bekamenga Persib became a superpower club. In proved, Persib became first in half season. A glimmer hopes come, the supporters believe their loved team will become the champions in this year.

Persib Bandung has a large number of fans base from West Java to Banten. They are known as bobotoh. The bobotoh are organized into many fan clubs, the biggest which is Viking Persib Club. The supporters usually fulfill Siliwangi Stadium every time Persib has a match. They don’t care with hot or rainy weather. They don’t care even though Persib performance is up or down. They are very loyal to their pride club. Bobotoh usually supported Persib together. They don’t care about age, work, or social status. They have one purpose: “Supporting Persib forever!”
From the past until now Persib still have used Siliwangi Stadium. Siliwangi Stadium on Jl. Lombok was famously known as Persib’s home where Persib won many awards or struggled from relegation. But, do you know Siliwangi Stadium isn’t belongs to Persib? Yes, Siliwangi Stadium is belongs to Kodam III/Siliwangi. It isn’t Pemprov Jabar or Pemkot Bandung property. Because of there is no stadium that more representative than Siliwangi, Persib still used it. Persib necessary rents the stadium from Kodam every time has a home match. This is an ashamed fact, isn’t it?

Every big club should have big stadium with modern facilities and also big capacity. For example Manchester United with its Old Trafford, Inter Milan and AC Milan with their Giuseppe Meazza, or Real Madrid with its Santiago Bernabeu. How is Persib? Persib doesn’t have own stadium. Siliwangi Stadium that very identical with Persib’s home doesn’t have good facility. Siliwangi has hard grasses, bad toilet, small capacity, and still used manual scoreboard. The seat is not comfortable at all. And if the weather is rainy, the field will be flooded. There are many facilities that must be repaired in this stadium . Luckily, Persib has fanatic supporter. Although the facilities in this stadium weren’t taken care anymore, bobotoh still fulfill Siliwangi Stadium. Bandung government ought to perceive with this fact. Persib needs a new stadium as soon as possible.

Let we introspect our self , don’t evaluate someone before evaluate alone self . Let we count our self before the God count our self . When we do the good in last year , we can up it in this year , and when we do the sin in last year , let we fix in this year .

Allah decree , “Who is today same with yesterday , so will suferr and who is today more bad than yesterday , so will unlucky and who is today more good than yesterday , so will luck” . Because that , let we introspect our self in the new year sothat this year more good than last year .

The Resorts Complex it self is quiet big, with lot of traditional “rumah panggung” bungalows, restaurant, meeting room and hot water swimming pool, the uniqueness is all of them build on top of very large freshwater fish pond which have unlimited water supply from Gunung Gede hot spring water. It gives us very unique experience, sitting on top of the pond when you can see lot of “Nila”, “Tawes” and “Carper or Ikan Mas” swimming around below, and even you may fishing or “mancing” and ask the hotel butler to cook your fish.

We went there on my sister birthday event on 25 June 2006, it’s not exactly on his birthday but we manage to go there during celebrating his 8 years old birthday, and seems he’s quiet enjoy it, especialy for fishing part when he manage to get his own catch.

Very nice place for family to have a little escape. But I’m not recomed this place for honeymoon place, Maybe Kampung Sampireun is more suitable for that.

Follow these instructions to germinate pertunia seeds.

materials and equipment
You will need:
• a packet of petunia seeds
• a seed tray or small pots
• loamy friable soil or potting mix
• water
• fertiliser.

steps        :

1.    Fill seed tray with soil.
2.    Incorporate fertiliser into soil.
3.    Scatter seeds on the surface of the soil.
4.    Cover seeds with a 3 mm layer of soil. Press firmly.
5.    Spray water to moisten the seed bed.
6.    Place seed tray in warm, sunny position (at least 25 deg. C).
7.    Keep soil moist by watering gently while seeds are germinating. Seeds will germinate in approximately 10 – 14 days.

Giant Sequoia is the world’s largest trees in terms of total volume. They grow to an average height of 50-85 m (150-280 ft) and 5-7 m (16-23 ft) in diameter. Record trees have been reported to be 93.6 m (307 ft) in height and 8.85 m (29 ft) in diameter. The oldest known Giant Sequoia based on ring count is 3,200 years old. Sequoia bark is fibrous, furrowed, and may be 60 cm (2 ft) thick at the base of the columnar trunk. It provides significant fire protection for the trees. The leaves are evergreen, awl-shaped, 3-6 mm long, and arranged spirally on the shoots. The seed cones are 4-7 cm long and mature in 18-20 months, though they typically remain green and closed for up to 20 years; each cone has 30-50 spirally arranged scales, with several seeds on each scale giving an average of 230 seeds per cone. The seed is dark brown, 4-5 mm long and 1 mm broad, with a 1 mm wide yellow-brown wing along each side. Giant Sequoia regenerates by seed. Trees up to about 20 years old may produce stump sprouts subsequent to injury. Giant Sequoia of all ages may sprout from the bole when old branches are lost to fire or breakage, but (unlike Coast Redwood) mature trees do not sprout from cut stumps. Young trees start to bear cones at the age of 12 years.

At any given time, a large tree may be expected to have approximately 11,000 cones. Lower branches die fairly readily from shading, but trees less than 100 years old retain most of their dead branches. Trunks of mature trees in groves are generally free of branches to a height of 20-50 m, but solitary trees will retain low branches

In response to the government’s call for seven days of national mourning to mark the death of Soeharto, many schools in Yogyakarta flew the Indonesian flag at half-mast and held prayer ceremonies for the former president Monday.

Some 500 students and teachers from SD Muhammadiyah Purodiningratan 2 elementary school in Yogyakarta prayed silently in the school yard Monday morning.

“I will also instruct my students to pray in class. Although most of them did not know Pak Harto when he was president, I feel I should ask them to pray for him as he was once a fighter for the nation,” Yuni, a teacher, told The Jakarta Post.

During a flag-raising ceremony at SMKN 2 Depok senior high school in Sleman, Yogyakarta, students also prayed silently for the former president.

Some 1,400 students and teachers attended the ceremony, during which the national flag was lowered to half-mast after the country’s national anthem, Indonesia Raya, was sung.

A similar ceremony was also held at junior high school SMP Muhammadiyah 1 in Yogyakarta.

In Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, most offices in the city were deserted as workers watched the final journey of the former leader on television.

People from all walks of life, including vegetable sellers, sidewalk vendors and government officials, watched patiently as Soeharto’s body was transferred to his final resting place at the Astana Giribangun family mausoleum in Karanganyar, Surakarta, Central Java.

The red and white flag of Indonesia flew at half-mast in front of homes and state and private offices from Sunday afternoon.

“Soeharto was the father of the nation regardless of the mistakes he made. But he was also able to instigate development when he was president,” said Antonius, a student from Kupang.

In Makassar, South Sulawesi, residents attended mass prayer sessions for the former leader due to the fact they were unable to attend his funeral. Residents also flew flags at half-mast to remember Soeharto, who ruled the country for 32 years.

Muslims attended prayer sessions in nearly every mosque in the city from the moment the media announced Soeharto’s death. Christian residents also attended prayer services in churches.

“We cannot deny that Pak Harto’s services to the nation were immeasurable. When he was president, he built up the country and created peace for the people. Even if he made mistakes, it doesn’t mean we should forget his services,” said a Makassar resident, Nasruddin.

In Medan, North Sumatra, a number of non-governmental organizations grouped under the Impeach Soeharto People’s Committee rejected the government’s call for people to fly flags at half-mast, saying it was inappropriate to commemorate Soeharto because he caused misery for many people during his reign.

Diah Susilowati from the North Sumatra branch of the Commission on Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) said many people suffered during Soeharto’s 32-year reign and it was inconceivable that people had been asked to mourn his death.

“We reject calls to mourn his death, especially instructions to fly the Indonesian flag at half-mast for him,” said Diah, who represented a number of NGOs in a press conference in Medan on Monday.

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. horseradish, prepared
2 tsp. mustard, prepared
1/2 tsp. salt
6 split buns

Combine ground beef, salt and pepper. Shape into 12 thin patties. Brown chopped onion lightly in butter, add horseradish, mustard and salt.

Spread onion mixture over 6 patties, top each with a patty and press together to form 6 large patties. Chill.

Place patties on grill and brown each side 8 to 10 minutes.

Serve on buns, if desired.
